My 22nd

Oct 3 - 3:00pm Found a small paper bag on my desk after my trip to the rest room. It's a yellow paper bag, with soda can drawing that says 'Happy Birthday!' in it. It's from my officemates. A birthday card with their witty birthday notes. A green rosary and a Bob Ong book which are in my wishlist.

(Two items now crossed out from my wishlist, yay thanks.)

My heart jumped with joy!

Yes, this is still a surprise for me. Small surprise is still a surprise and you know how I love surprises. I rarely get these kind of surprises because I'm always the one who make these kind of surprises to my friends--- being the thoughtful friend. Not that I'm expecting in return for what I always do, don't get me wrong, I love surprising my friends, but I deserve some thoughtfulness too, am I? My boring life needs some element of surprise too. That's what I'm longing for, what I wanted to feel.

------------------

Its been eight days and I haven't thanked all the people who took time to type the 'Happy birthday! *insert smiley*' sentence in my Facebook wall. Yes, I'm looking at you, 20-25% of my Facebook friends. Overwhelming.

But still, the best birthday greetings of the year came from the people, for the lack of a safe term, people I admire. It may not be the sincerest ones, they may have greeted me because someone 'reminded' them. But the mere fact that they typed '@superpaw: haberday!!!' and 'happy birthday paw!'... its something for me. I know, I'm shallow like that. Haha, pagbigyan na.
